More than 95% of Bangkok's teenagers spend three hours a day on their mobile phones and 88% spend a similar amount of time glued to their computers, according to a recent poll. Assumption University's Abac Poll, which questioned 1,262 teenagers in the capital from Oct 26 to Dec 2, found that around 95.7% said they spent at least three hours a day on their mobiles while another 88.3% spent the same amount of time in front of their computers.
Watching television was another favourite pastime, with 94.6% of respondents claiming they spent more than four hours a day in front of the TV set.
The vast majority of students said they spent only 16 minutes a day reading newspapers.
Noppadol Kannikar, Abac Poll director, concluded that young people in the city are not interested in reading but prefer talking, watching TV and listening to the radio rather than following up current affairs themselves

Really, I'm rather spend my time in front of Tv or computer more than talking a telephone because I don't like it!
In my opinion, I think the most of teenagers have a mobile phone that each people have purpose different. I like to learn anything from Tv or internet because it not serious. When I reading textbook I feel sleepy suddenly.However I like to read biography's personage or foreigner novelette. Are you Reading? The question my mom asked when I held some book in the hands, my action like this always makes her astonish. Come on! I’m just 19; do you want me to be a book-worm? I accept reading book is good, everyone known, but don’t you think although they know how great of it then why most of them still determine to avoid it. It’s may be some hormone in the teenage (it’s my justification -_-‘’). In fact I thought that the book is a paper which full of a lot alphabets coming from the other planet beside the earth I can’t understand, so boring! I hoped somebody will see this actual, not long I found some book I like! How? At the book store I took a look on novel zone. I decided picked it up ones “Harry Potter”. The reason I read is there’s some interesting picture and the text is funny, it made me relaxed than any book. After that I have paid attention in reading more than I ever. If it’s not much useful in other vision but it’s worth no one else can see is the free imagination enhancing cleverness. So I love to advice them to my closeness.
For 95.7% of telephone, 88.5% of computer or 94.6% of Television is it bad? I don’t think so; Telephone is good when the user use it to show their love for their connector in the suitable time. Computer is a centre of knowledge at this moment, searching for report information is easier than book. TV gives a entertainment and relaxing. However these things also have a bad side if use in the wrong ways. So I like you to remember that everything is like a rapier, acted on the middle way. You’ll be happy.

I think all about friends,habit of teenagers like to stay with friends when they bore they spent time in front of TV,many interesting programs ,listen news .They don’t read news because they can watch TV.That is reason teenagers don’t like to read.

I think ‘Television and Internet’ are very popular nowadays. They’re the most common source of getting information from the world.
- we can see important events “live”….for example football matches , tennis matches etc.
- they present lots of education programs and movies as well
so people can learn from TV. It can be used as a teaching tool without being BORING!!! to them.
Bout’ reading…I think it is something that someone tends to do alone but I don’t like to be alone from what I have observed. So reading’s probably not seen as “SANOOK” for me.
After those 8-9 hours for activities at university are much longer, I hardly feel like reading a book. I can imagine it’s much easier just to sit in front of TV, or spend some time with my friends and my family

There was no way to let the other person know where you were or to inform them you were going to be late, so the only choice left was to try to be on time! People had more discipline ka:)

In daily life, I listen to music rather than watch television and phone because I spend 2-3 hours travelling to university by car. In my car, I often listen to music. About the high technology like television or mobile phone,I think that they are very nesessory for our day life and it's not just for entertainment only but for communicate and learning as well.

I used to spend more than 5 hours for a day in front of my computer. 5 hours, I used for playing online games. I stopped this behavior because I must prepare myself for Admission Exam.
At this moment, I pay attention to reading various books. I like to read about travelling, stories and cartoons. I think reading can make me relax more than playing computer. I sometime spend time for playing computer but it isn’t equal to the past.

For two-three hours a day only that I have freetime to spend for talk with my friends by mobilephone.We have changed day pass.
Why I have a little time,Coz I do part time jop. A lot of time, I spent to study and do part time job and meeting at my club in university. When the part time job finished,I spent to talk with my friend by mobilephone.So I don't have a time to surf the internet or watch the television.
